Good Over Cereal
I like the texture and look of 2 percent milk over cereal, but unfortunately for me, my taste buds changed over the years and I no longer like the flavor of milk. Lactic acid now tastes really sour to me, but even lactose-free milk has something lurking in it that my taste buds object to. Almond milk solves my dilemma nicely. The texture is closer to 2 percent milk than any other milk substitute I've come across, and the flavor is mild and slightly nutty. The color is only slightly off, being a pale off-white instead of the stark white of milk. I love being able to eat cold cereal again like I did as a child. The only milk substitute that tastes better for this purpose is oat milk, which makes cereal taste like cereal only more so, but oat milk has a slightly gray cast to it that is kind of off-putting. Almond milk is awesome! It's pretty good in coffee too.

Best milk replacement that we've found
My wife is nursing right now and found that cow's milk hasn't been so good for the baby. So we've been testing various types of milk-like substances for cereal, coffee, drinking, etc.My wife found most other milk substitutes to taste "earthy." I've told her repeatedly that I have no idea what that means, but apparently it's not a good thing. She found Almond Breeze to be her favorite after trying rice milk, soy milk, and goat's milk. Almond Breeze won out as a favorite. I've found that I even like taste, especially in an iced coffee. Also, at first I thought 12 boxes of milk would last us an eternity. We've gone through 8 boxes of this stuff in about a month. The boxes aren't that big, and the milk is good enough that it's getting used up quite a bit. So here I am placing our next order for another case of almond breeze after only a month.

Ideal for Protein Shakes
Almond Breeze goes great with all of my protein powders, adding a creamy texture that skim milk just lacks. More filling, too. For 40 calories per cup, you can't go wrong. I'll always prefer the thick, fat-filled whole milk of my youth, for everything from coffee/tea to cereal, but who wants to "spend" that many calories on a liquid? Just make sure you pick up this version-plain, unsweetened. There is another type produced by this brand called "plain" that has more calories and more sugar. I've tried both and there is little to no difference in taste, so why bother?Oh, and one caveat here is that, for those of us with high daily protein intake goals, Almond Breeze has only one gram per serving. (Skim milk has eight, if I rememeber correctly.) My protein powder of choice has 28 grams per serving, so I can make the sacrifice for the sake of taste/texture.
