Superb! Takes the chlorine out and keeps hair healthy!
I have thin, fragile hair (for years I was highlighting, perming, coloring, flat ironing, curling ironing, etc.). This shampoo is amazing! I've been swimming 3-4 times a week for 2 years now and even with the fragile hair I have, when I go to get it cut, every stylist that's touched my hair tells me that they cannot believe I swim. They say there is no chlorine damage and when they touch my hair, they cannot believe how healthy it feels (note--I've stopped all the damaging coloring, perming, etc. that I mention above, so that also helps).I use this shampoo in the shower right after I come out of the pool. You need to be sure to use enough to get it to lather on your head and really activate (one review mentioned it doesn't lather---you may need a bit more---I've got hair half way down my back and even with all my hair, I get it to lather properly). Works as part of a system
I have shoulder length, naturally blond hair and I am usually in the pool 3-4 days a week. I have always used Paul Mitchell's Shampoo Three which is designed to get chlorine out. That product always worked well for me but as a clarifying shampoo it can be very harsh/drying on my hair. I got the Ultra Swim to use everyday after swimming and now I only use the Paul Mitchell once a week along with a deep conditioning mask. This combo works well for me. The Ultra Swim doesn't get all the chlorine but leaves my hair fairly moisturized during the week and on Sundays the Paul Mitchell shampoo gets the rest of the buildup, and the deep conditioner really replenishes.If you're a swimmer I can also recommend . Gentle and clean
I swim 4 or 5 times a week and have been using this now for over a month. It is gentle to my hair and seems to take most of the chlorine out. I still do have to use a harsh remover once every other week to get the extra but this does a good job in general. I recommend for the everyday user.

Great product for swimmers!
I swim several times a week, and before using this shampoo, my hair was dry and often reeked of chlorine. This product is amazing at restoring the hair after a pool swim and does a great job at removing the chlorine. I also highly recommend the conditioner.On the other hand, my stylist recommends soaking my hair in cold water before swimming so my hair doesn't absorb as much of the pool water.

Really Works!
My daughter is on a swim team and swims several times a week. Her hair was really taking a hit from the chlorine. When she used regular shampoo, her hair still felt like it had a "coating" on it, not to mention she couldn't get the smell of the chlorine out.Desperate, I ordered a bottle of this shampoo and, voila, it works just like it says! Ultra Swim
I love this product, only thing is I can't find it in the stores once summer is over ... we have hard well water that we treat with Chlorine, so our daily baths and showers are like going swimming ... my hair is dry, brittle and feels like straw when I wash it, but this product is the BEST ... I love it and my hair is softer, shinier and much healther. I use it daily and it doesn't alter my hair color with, seeing that I color my hair to cover the greys that I'm getting. I stand by this product ... that is why I am here to order it so I have it through the winter months as well. I also use the Ultra Swim conditioner with it ... both are great products.

I have dark brown, almost black hair. The type that usually doesn't have real complaints when it comes to chlorine. That was before I started swimming in a hotel pool that LOADS their water with hydrogen peroxide (and it tastes like salt, too!). At first, I had no problems using my regular shampoo and conditioner. About a week into swimming every day - even with a cap - and my hair started feeling like straw. Absolutely horrible. I tried leaving my regular conditioner in longer and even left some on the ends after my shower in the hopes of helping things. Didn't work. So I started browsing the web and came across UltraSwim. Thank goodness!I purchased both the UltraSwim Chlorine-Removal Shampoo and the UltraSwim Conditioner. I was disappointed in how watered down both the shampoo and conditioner seemed (the reason for giving 4*s and not 5). The shampoo doesn't lather very well at all, so I ended up adding it to my regular shampoo and was able to create the results I wanted...

Excellent when combined with UltraSwim Shampoo
This will parallel my review of the shampoo. This does an excellent job of restoring your hair back to soft feel most people want. I have tried other conditioners after using the UltraSwim shampoo and they just do not work as well for some reason. Yeah, this stuff is expensive, but if you swim fairly often it's much cheaper than other brands per ounce like malibu.

Great Effective and Affordable Product
Great product! This is a great alternative to UltraSwim value wise. You get 2 more ounces with the L'Oreal kids for 3 dollars less. I am adult and use this product for myself after swimming. It is not a 2-in-1 in the shampoo/conditioner sense. I've found that this is the equivalent of a clarifying shampoo, which is great in the sense that it clarifies the chlorine out, but your hair will need a deep conditioning after use. I have found the product is strong enough that I mix it half and half with my favorite shampoo, . Which has been just as effective, but not quite so drying...

Works for adults!
I started using this shampoo when I started swimming and my hair turned dry and straw-like. I did not know of any adult shampoos that helped with chlorine removal, so I used this and was surprised how well it worked. It is not a miracle product that made me look like I stepped out of a hair commercial, but it did remove chlorine better than other shampoos I had been using (pantene, matrix, john frieda) and made the conditioner I was using work better.I also like that this is a gentle shampoo. I am past the days of tears when I get a little shampoo in my eyes, but some shampoos tend to bother my contacts. This one did not, so I was able to wash my hair with my contacts in.I will definitely use this on my kids-when the time comes!

amazing deal for swimmers!
Love this shampoo! I thought I would try out this out because it was so cheap before trying more expensive swim shampoos and I am SO glad I did! I actually thought it was a 2in1 when I bought it so when I first tried it after a swim I didnt have conditioner on hand and I was worried my hair would be a tangley mess after, but as I lathered up I was surprised at how silky my hair was feeling but I immediately put it up in a ponytail after anyway because I was sure it would look terrible having not been conditioned. A few hours later I took my ponytail out and WOW, my hair was so shiny and silky! I still needed to put some ojon oil in it but I can honestly say that I have never had such impressive results when skipping conditioner, and then after a swim in the pool to have those results is beyond amazing. Must-have for color-treated hair
This is an awesome product for people who love to swim but don't like dealing with the after-effects of clorine. Stinky, but effective
If you can get past the awful smell, it works fine. I end up washing my daughter's hair twice, once with this to get the chlorine out, then again trying to get rid of this product's smell.
