Not just for Tomatos
They were actually a little lighter than i expected. the paint/powder coat is not perfect but seems okay. i would reccomend getting a can of spray paint and touching up the bare areas if you plan to reuse year after year. we used them to make small trees for our christmas light display. tied the top togegher and put 100ct mini led lights on each one with tie wraps. perfect size. America IS beautiful!!!
Hello! We used to be able to purchase certain American made items at the local stores such as the Home Depot, K-Mart, and mom and pop franchises. Now we do more and more and more web searching for American made products. These tomato cages are wonderful: 1st, they're American made employing Americans; 2nd, they're coated with a green colored plastic that hide within the plants; 3rd, they're from Amazon.com and they literally stand behind the products they sell.Thank you,Priscilla and Walter

Excellent height tomato cages
These cages are excellent for three reasons. First, they are 48 inches in height, which is a perfect height to manage tomatoes. Many cages that one buys at nurseries are smaller. Second, they are plastic so that they do not rust after repeated used. Third, and most important, they fold up flat and can be stored in the off season. Great product. Top to learn more

Product Description
Jwalt a leader in gardening products, redesigns the tomato cage, maximizing the advantages. Angeled legs allow rapid set-up and easy insertion into the ground. Offest legs provide a base that's inserted by the pressure of your foot and creates a wider planting base that is topple resistant and provides adequate support for the heaviest vines to fend off breakage. Comes assembled. Easily opens. Folds without disassembling. Minimizes storage space. Visually appealing. Redesign provides convenient access to entire plant. No sharp edges or welds to break. The redesigned vine support is made from a highly durable, weather resistant, rigid, high-tech plastic formulation. It's highly stable at 48-inch height. Four rings ranging from 9 to 16-inch provide easy access to all growing vegetation. The legs slide quickly around the rings for fast, easy folding and storage. Top to learn more

expensive but it does the trick
After fighting metal tomato cages for 25 years, we decided to put out the money for something that would handle our 6 foot high hybrid plants. This product is exactly what we were looking for. It will certainly handle high growth. Better yet, the material and construction make it a reasonable purchase. These, we bought two, have the feel of a product that will outlast a dozen metal cages. They are made to accommodate a high growing plant gradually. There are adjustments that allow an initial height of four feet and can simply (we mean simply) be made to grow in height as the plant grows. If there is anything to be said that could be thought of as negative, it would be the poor set of directions which consists only of pictures. Nothing is written. The pictures, part of the packing, are very poor. It's hard to believe they are intended to be instruction illustrations. The first cage was built by trial an error. The second set then, was built in a matter of minutes... Top to learn more

Fantastic!
This is the best tomato cage I've ever used. Very sturdy, never rusts, the rungs can be easily adjusted to fit each plants' growth needs and best of all, it disassembles at the end of the season for easy flat storage! I'm going to buy more now in anticipation of next tomato season. Top to learn more

Product Description
The patent pending design of Stake It Easy grows taller (up to 6 feet) and wider as your plant grows, supporting each growing branch. To assemble, just snap together. Then adjust the height and width as the plant grows. Plus the EZ Step Stake Anchors penetrate even hard ground so it’s easy to install, even late in the season. This versatile system can be used with tomatoes or most vines that need support. Top to learn more
Hoping For More
I decided to invest a little bit this year for my tomato plants with these instead of the simple wired ones I usually get. They aren't bad, but haven't been too impressed either. So I'm pretty much neutral. If I could do it again, I'd probably stick with the wired ones you can get at any garden store or nursery. Top to learn more

Works!
My tomatoes were falling over with the stakes I was using. These provided the support they needed and were wicked cheap, price wise. Had to add some larger rocks to the base for hurricane Irene but that wasn't their fault. Best part is I'll never have to buy more, I got ten, used 4 and can re-use those every year. It's all about the Cage
The Glamos supports are not for the heaviest plants, although the price and quantity and color make them a good value for a bulk purchase.I am happy with them overall. The wire is not heavy duty, but it will do the job... If you have small cherry tomato plants and/or peppers, they will do an excellent job for supporting the stem and fruits. Even worthwhile considering for use on flowers and very attractive to place in a formal garden, rather than bamboo supports.Heavier and higher yield indeterminate plants might need a strong support. If you want colored cages and you want to save on buying in bulk; then give these a try. Only tomato cage you'll ever want
This is the world's best tomato cage, hands down. As another reviewer stated, if you've forgotten to stake or cage your tomatos, you can snap this one around an existing tomato without doing any damage to the plant. Try that with a wire cage! I also like that the side arms are movable so you can adjust it to support different branches (like if one is heavily laden with fruit, etc).It is VERY sturdy. I have had wire cages burst open somehow due to the weight of the plant and this Poly cage won't. The stakes also are pretty tough to bend. (I once tried pounding a stake into a slab of cement hidden under the soil and only after several hits with the hammer did I notice any bending in the pole.)You may be a little put off with a price of $5 when you can buy slightly smaller wire cages for $1, but it's well worth it. You can reuse for years without any noticable changes, it stores flat, unlike wire cages that take up a lot of space and rust, and if you are growing... Top to learn more

Replace your traditional cages
These tall cages are so much better then the traditional cages. They are much taller, the tomatoes can grow up instead of all over the place and causing the cages to fall. The best part is you can cage them at any point, my plants were about 3 feet tall when I finally got around to putting them up. The side parts can be moved up and down to accomodate where the vines are on the plant. Top to learn more

Ultomato Too Short
I purchased 6 of these Ultomato "cages" from a local home improvement store garden center with lots of orange shelving and shopping carts. I had already planted the tomatoes in the garden and needed to assemble the cages and get them around the tomato plants. Assembly of the cages was not difficult at all. Disassembly of the packaged product took longer than the assembly of the cages. There must be about 10 or more plastic twist ties wrapped around all the components in the package in every conceivable combination of wrapping method known to man. After untwisting all of the twist ties included inside of 6 packages of Ultomato cages, I think I now have carpel tunnel syndrome.I got them all assembled and realized that after sticking the pointed ends of the three vertical 5 foot stakes into the garden soil about 8 or 10 inches, the "effective" height of the cages was not tall enough for the tomato plants I usually grow (with only about four feet of the Ultomato cage remaining... I finished up The Distant Hours last week and I tried to make it last, but it's difficult. I've heard she has a new one coming out in October, so I know I'll have to find some other good books to bide my time. Also, I have been deep in the novels of Kate Morton and got the last available book of hers yesterday.
My son could wander around, filling small pots with soil, digging in containers with a shovel and playing in a water bucket I set up for him, while I filled 5-gallon pots with a mix of compost and garden soil.
