Made & Packaged in the USA. Sodium nitrite (NaNO2) is used as a color fixative. It is white to slightly yellowish. It is very soluable in water and is hygroscopic. When exposed to air, it will slowly oxidize into sodium nitrate. This is a strong oxidizing agent. It is also used in manufacturing diazo dyes, nitroso compounds, and other organic compounds. Also in dyeing and printing textile fabrics and bleaching fibers. In photography, it's used as a laboratory reagent and a corrosion inhibitor. during last summer me and my friend had a lot of fun strapping rockets to stuff.We soon found out how expensive buying these things from hobby stores was so we looked into making them.We looked up the ingredients and bought some SODIUM NITRATE from the internet.Mixed it with sugar and burned extremely vigorously.never got the chance to make it into a rocked tho..we burned about a pound or so of it in my front driveway and put a hole threw it and the neighbor called the cops and my dad got made and threw the rest away. o well their is a time and a place for everything.Tips if using for rockets.~powder it of buy already powdered form~salt peter and charcoal are necessary to achieve maxim thrust~powdered sugar not granularHOPED THAT HELPED!STAY SAFE.
