A solid option for suburban digital viewing
Because of costs and the fact that we don't watch much TV, our family recently decided to jettison satellite and go back to the venerable over-the-air broadcasts. I have a standard definition TV, so in anticipation of the change to DTV, I purchased this antenna alongside a digital converter box. I decided to take a chance on this little unit because it was the least expensive out there, figuring it was worth a risk before I started sinking more money. As it turns out, the RCA antenna works great -- we have about 11 digital channels in our area and this device brings in all of them, even with the antennas fully retracted. What's more, the picture is fantastic (satellite-quality) and our digital tuner reports that the signal strength is quite strong. I had to do very little manual adjusting to make it work. Antennas Compared
I'm a first timer at getting OTA HDTV. This has been an experiment in progress for the past 5 weeks. I have gone through four antennas (they are all here as I write this) before finding something that's satisfactory (rather than tolerable). I live around 25 miles from Manhattan, where the towers of most TV stations are located. I am also aware of the directional information from [...], and have experimented accordingly with its effects on reception. My apartment's windows all face north, while the signals all comes from southwest. I cannot get signals from where it comes from, and thus needed to get signals from deflections perhaps off nearby buildings and trees. It's a very poor circumstance for over-the-air reception, maybe just slightly better than being underground. Signals are weak, and are affected by weather. Stormy and windy days have shown effects at disrupting signal reception. With this said, and without going into much detail, let's talk about...

Good/versatile for bunny/rabbit costume
I bought this for a tortoise and the hare costume for a half marathon. The ears were great, comfortable and stayed on without the chinstrap, even in the intense wind. So there's no doubt it would stay on for a party. I thought the tail was cute, but I pined it to my spandex and it kept coming off when I sat down. It's a good ensemble to create a bunny costume and still leaves some creativity for the person wearing it.

It works...
This budget-priced indoor antenna unit does the job. I received all the local HD channels available in my area with minimal adjustments to the antenna positioning. The coaxial cable is part of the unit and cannot be removed. The cable itself is rather skinny. That being said, the unit performs, flawlessly. I have the unit placed behind my 42" plasma with the antenna extended and hidden from view. The location of my flatscreen is top-floor of a house and about five feet from the window. I also used this unit in my bedroom and it worked, flawlessly. I think the location of your home (relative to the broadcast towers) and positioning of the unit is what matters. Not the brand or price of the indoor antenna unit.

This Is All You Need
I just replaced a significantly more expensive Terk HDTVi indoor antenna with this simple and inexpensive RCA antenna. The Terk looked great, but had such a poorly designed base that it was nearly impossible to balance and position-I'll be sending that one back to Amazaon. I went over to my local Best Buy and found this unit, hooked it up-wala; picked up significantly MORE HD stations and this unit is stable and easy to position and move around (which is the objective in maneuvering for best reception). I'd highly recommend this unit-as far as I am concerned it does what it's supposed to do, easily outperforms (at least in my case) more expensive indoor antennas, and is just a great darn value!

works like it should
Just as good as any other antenna I've tried. Its not worth it to buy the more expensive ones, they all work the same. The SIGNAL STRENGTH NEVER CHANGES, that is controlled by the tower location and your location. All you can do is get a bigger antenna!!. So I got two of these, pointed them different directions, now I get all the channels I should without having to adjust (very much) the dipoles.

31 FREE channels for under 5$..You cant complain :)
This is a real value for money product.The real deal.As soon as I plugged this into my 42" LCD,ran the autoscan,it quickly picked up some 31 channels,out of which around 10 or so are HD and rest are digital.The clarity is awsesome,no complaints.One thing one has to remember before buying this is,location matters.The place where you stay and the level or the height at which your place is.You may have to tweak the positioning for a 10min or so to figure out the optimal point to receive most of the channels with crystal clear quality.I put it on the window frame behind my tv with its rabbit ears extended.It did catch lot of channels without extending them too,but in my case it was optimal to extend them.This may differ case by case as location and position matters for signal reception. All in all,I am extremely happy with this buy.One usually spends 4$ for a starbux coffee.So,when you compare the price of this with that and what it can do,you just cant complain.Buy it!

Not bad at all!!
I was looking for an inexpensive antenna to go with my converter box for my small analog tv. I'm very pleased that this product works fine for the small price and arrived neatly packaged. I actually purchased two, one for my teen's tv set. I didn't try it with my flat screen but it works fine with the smaller sets and it was less expensive than going to my local electronics store. If you don't have or need cable, using this antenna with a converter box if you don't have a newer HDTV set is the way to go. Just be sure to reset the channels once you connect the cable cords. According to the directions, this antenna also works with the newer televisions as well but since it doesn't have a dial to adjust a larger television may need a more powerful antenna.

Decent quality, cheap antenna.
I needed this antenna for my digital TV, as I have decided to get rid of cable. After comparing it to other various antennas, I came to the conclusion that it should get the job done, and at half the price of the next cheapest available. I am not disappointed with the decision. It works exactly as described, and after configuring my digital signal, I am now receiving all my local channels just fine. I live in an apartment and was worried at first if that would be an issue picking up the signal, but it turned out to be alot easier than I thought it would be. If you're looking for a functional antenna to get your local channels, I see no reason not to recommend this one for the job.
