I decided to purchase this product when I was watching some type of fashion video on Youtube with Amber Rose *Kanye West's infamous girlfriend *now ex*- anyway she was asked what was some of her favorite make up and skin care products. I was dying to know this because I love this woman and I find her skin to be absolutely flawless... I was shocked when she said raw african shea butter. She explained that she usually melts it in the microwave to soften it and puts it all over her body as soon as she gets out of the shower... Her face and everywhere else.. So, I just had to try it. I've always heard of using shea butter how it is a good moisturizer..but wow.. I noticed a difference in my face within two days... My skinned looked brighter... More clear..My complexion looks healthier.. My laugh lines look as if they are slowly disappearing... I've been looking for a good moisturizer for the winter..I normally use neutrogena for sensitive skin but it doesn't help as nearly as good as shea...

The shea butter comes in a plastic container. It was not rock hard and I could easily scoop a bit into my finger and apply it to my face. I didn't have to microwave it. A little goes a long way... since too much shea butter can make one's face look greasy. Overall, I would definitely purchase this brand of shea butter again.

When the Shea Butter came at first I did not know what to make of it. I thought it looked like a lump of butter. I could not smell anything but soon I became creative and added scented oil after melting it down. It is amazing that just a little will go a long way. I can't get enough of it. It's the best
Originally I bought raw shea butter from a street vendor, ladies, waste no more money on high end product, this is natural, very inexpensive and is EXCELLENT - I am naturally olive toned however years in the sun produced age spots and as I began to tone my weight my face was sagging, I didn't really notice at first the good it was doing, everyone else did, I have no laugh lines, no sun frowny marks, spots are lighter and less noticable and I use this on virtually everything. It takes very little to cover your face and hands. Add a few wee drops of lavendar and you have a wonderful soothing, calming relaxant... No Kidding..!!!

SHEA BUTTER at a reasoonable price and it lasts a long time. I use it for hair care and body moisturizer melt some in the microwave about 20 seconds and mix your favorite scent in for a great lotion. Mix with coconut oil and vegetable glycerine along with your favorite scent for a great leave in conditioner for natural hair will make curls POP.

CLEARS UP PROBLEM SKIN!!!
Of all the things I've tried to shrink the pores on my oily nose... I never thought oil would be it. I read claims about shea butter having antibacterial properties, similar to coconut oil and that some people had amazing results using it on acne. I thought what the heck, I'll try it. I washed my face before bed, applied a thin layer on my nose and a couple bumps that look like they were trying to become pimples and then put on my usual night creme. WOW! The next morning, all little bumps were completely gone, and my pores were significantly cleaner. I understand you can never really shrink pores but you can make them appear smaller by keeping them clean (which you can't really do just by washing alone). This stuff has about a billion and a half uses, and clearing up my sometimes problematic skin is one of them. I LOVE IT!!!

Five stars for the product because it really works well, but be aware that it comes in a plastic bag. No jar...just a double wrapped sheet of plastic. You need to have some kind of container to put it into once it's been opened so it stays fresh.

Fantastic Value!
I've been wanting a natural, water free moisturizer for my hair for some time now. I have thick, naturally long, black hair and my hair can suck up product like you wouldn't believe.Lately I've decided to grow my hair longer and the key has always been to keep my hair moist. I used the Shea Butter and mixed in my different oils, like Argan, olive, Proclaims Natural 7 oils and Africa's best Herbal oils. Once all of this is mixed using a hand mixture, I have a nice creamy moisturizer. I can't began to tell you how soft it makes my hair.Finally the value. For this much Shea butter at this price is a real bargain. I will be re-ordering more. I think my 5 pound supply will last me a long time before I need more.

Love it!
I have never tried shea butter, but after hearing all of the wonderful things about (great for your skin!) I had to try it. I bought the 5 lbs because it was the best deal anywhere I could find--be warned, it is A LOT!! It arrived in a box, just like the picture, but it was wrapped in a sealed plastic bag. I immediately scooped it out into resealable containers (3 in total). The shea butter was really hard, but once you start touching it it softens right up. There was also a lot stuck to the plastic, so I cut it into little squares and saved it to smear on my body (what was on the plastic alone actually lasted me a long time). Also, it has a very strong smell, which at first I hated but have now grown used to.All in all, I love this stuff! Once you massage it thoroughly into your skin it feels great. Nice feel but a bit strong smelling
I've never ordered raw shea butter before. The price on this was really great. I do have to say that it is rather strong smelling, however. The essential oils I add do not seem to cover the smell. Since I have never ordered any before, I can't say what it's supposed to be like. I certainly got the impression from recipe sites that the amounts of essential oils they recommend should make the mixture smell like the mixture. I still have pretty strong overtones of the original smell of the shea butter. It's not as calming and relaxing from an aromatherapy point of view that I would have liked.That said, this butter has worked well in my body butter recipes. It melts and glides on nicely and makes my skin and hair feel great. For the price compared to other suppliers ... perhaps I need to just deal with the strong smell???

On the recommendation of my dermatologist, I started using Shea Butter for a severe case of eczema that I've had about 2 years now. The eczema is pretty much all over my body (with just a little eczema on my hands, face, and scalp; and none on my feet), so I've been using alot of the Shea Butter. Since this is the first time I've used it, I can't say if good Shea Butter is what I'm about to describe.It's been 3 weeks since I started using the Shea Butter.FIRST IMPRESSIONS==================-It's like wax, but melts when rubbed on your skin.-For large areas, I use my thumb to crack the butter and then rub it between the palms of my hands and the consistency becomes more spreadable.-For smaller areas, I rub the butter with my fingertip and it melts the butter.-It covers well and even makes water bead up on your skin.
