Healthy, Yummy, and Made in the USA
I am always looking for healthy treats for my Wheaten and the fewer ingredients the better. I thought I found the best product when I found Waggin Train Chicken Jerky at Costco. Then I read the reviews on Amazon and, well, it scared the crap out of me. So now, I look for healthy treats with few ingredients, that are made in the US. I feel comfortable giving my dog these treats because I know the ingredients used are regulated. My dog LOVES these and so do I.

We're Both Happy
I just received the Salmon, the Duck and the Chicken strips.Our JRT is very fussy and horribly spoiled.She turns up her nose and walks away from many treats I've tried.Most of the "organic" or "healthy" treats I've tried haven't won her over.She just had one each of the Salmon, Duck and Chicken and LOVED all of them!I'm thrilled that they are made in the US and contain ingredients I approve of.Thank you Plato and Amazon!

If the dogs love them, what more is there to say?

Why is it so difficult to find all natural chicken?
I decided to try this as finding all natural chicken seems next to impossible unless you're willing to pay a ridiculous price. Overall, I'm very happy with the product, it is all natural, no unnecessary ingredients, and the taste is what you would expect of canned chicken. I know some people complain that it smells like tuna, but in reality, any canned chicken product you buy, that doesn't have added ingredients, will smell like tuna, that's just how it is.Valley fresh does offer their all natural canned chicken at the grocery store, but it's the improved flavor kind, and they use additional ingredients to make it taste better. While it is more tasty, one of the ingredients they use is potato based, and us health freaks, don't eat potatoes. Definitely much better than bouillon
The non-organic version of this chicken base (available for around $4 at Wegmans' grocery stores in NY/NJ/PA) is a staple in my kitchen. I also use the beef, clam, and (vegetarian) vegetable bases and will never, ever go back to bouillon cubes. The taste is less salty than bouillon cubes and free of either the oxidized off-flavor of bouillon cubes and low salt bouillon powder packets, or the metallic "tin can" off-flavor of canned broths. Is one bouillon cube too little and two too much? With these you can add exactly what you need. The bases are very good on their own and especially good for extending, salting and "filling out" the fresh but uncomplicated taste of homemade stocks. Note, refrigerate after opening.

Just Say No to MSG!
Ordered my third jar yesterday. This is so delicious! I use it as a minestrone base, a substitute for the ramen MSG laden soup packets, add it to my gravies and chile verde. I'd use it sparingly until you figure out what works for you. For myself, about two teaspoons per three cups of water seems to work.

Free of the Big Three
Better Than Bouillon *Organic* in both chicken and beef is soy, gluten, and dairy free at the time of this review.As someone with severe food allergies, it took me ages to find a soup base that didn't have one of them. Its nice that the one I finally found is truly excellent. I use these products often and always have excellent results.I find the chicken base a little on the sweet side, but nothing I can't work around.

And chicken, organic chicken is so tender as opposed to that bought straight off the supermarket shelf. We switched to organic beef and chicken a couple of years ago. It's always fresh, never frozen and is usually walking around the day before I purchase it. Beef, pork, mutton and chicken. and free range chicken. Organic vegies, fruit - and eggs, dairy products, meat are grown & cared for WITHOUT the use of chemical insecticides, non-organic fertilizers, growth hormones (like cortisone. Organic means their feed is organic, but not nesassary their natural source of food. the reason I say grass fed not organic becasue grass fed means the cows or bulls graze the grass and that is their actual natural source of food and eating the beef have such great health benefits to maintain our weight and maintaining our immune... Simply put, the organic stuff is the same stuff as we have been buying and eating for generations, except it does not have the efficiencies of modern horticulture. The only 'organic' produce I buy in a grocery store is fruit. and then I buy organic when possible. If you really want a lifestyle change that compliments eating organic food then try clean eating. YEs eat organic fruits or vegatables. Go to the grocery store that is known to carry groceries that advertise "Natural", "Organic Foods".

As much as I love to buy organic chicken, I honestly can't afford it. At $9. The reason I got all this chicken (besides the amazing deal) is I'm working hard at a bunch of freezer meals. But this chicken is locally raised and minimally processed (as attested to how much "home butchering" I had to do to trim them up). Someday I will raise my own meat-birds. I still really miss my chickens. I bought 40 lbs of chicken breast yesterday. If you are into bulk buying, I recommend checking into it. My VT companion introduced me and got me hooked up with the deal. Crockpot freezer meals to be exact, so after the new guy comes I can just grab something and dump it in the crockpot. If it weren't for the 4 legged one who lives here it would be that big a deal for your Dad and me. I think Penny will wonder why in a week or 2 I won't let her up on my lap for the next 4 months. I guess I will go ahead and spray which I hate to do 'cause I hate chemicals. I'm glad they are outside, but it makes me nervous because I heard the ticks are already really bad. So I thought I should showcase all the things I've actually made thanks to Pinterest. Guess I hate ticks more.
