These nesting dolls are plastic!
Just received these dolls and was shocked to find out they are plastic...my fault...I didn't look...I just assumed they were wood...Disappointed about that...they are still nice but just have a cheaper look to them. Had I known they were plastic I wouldn't have ordered them.

Fun compact toy for my daughter
I ordered these for my almost 3 year old daughter, knowing they were plastic.We have had lots of fun playing with these together - matching up the pieces and taking them in and our of each other. This is an easy toy to slip in my bag and take to a restaurant to keep her entertained while we wait and I have liked seeing the progression from her at first figuring out how they "work" to now mixing them up, playing games with them, and making sure the markings on the outside perfectly matching when putting the individual dolls back together.I think I will buy another set to have on hand as a gift.

GREAT PRODUCT
I love the fact that these dolls are plastic. The wooden ones my children played with before gave them splinters and I am wary of the paint on those old wooden ones. These are really great and my kids love them! They want MORE! I would recommend these nesting dolls to ANYONE!

A little pricey
This was a fun Christmas gift. However, I didn't realize that the toy is just a thin plastic shell; a bit thicker than a plastic Easter egg. I don't think it will last beyond the first adult accidentally stepping on it. Until then the kids enjoy taking it apart.

5 year olds favorite!
Since my 5 year old son liked to play with a friends (much more expensive) nesting doll set, I thought he'd enjoy these. The easter bunny brought them for him and he has barely put them down since. He loves showing everyone how they work. They are very cute and seem pretty durable so far. He's now saying he wants Santa to bring him the Christmas version.

Fun for kids!
I just got this for my daughter who turned 9. She is a huge penguin lover and when I saw this, I knew she would love it. I was right. She's spent lots of time playing with these and even putting little beads and trinkets inside for fun and playing games like guess which penguin has something that she's placed in it. My 3 year old son loves these too and can't stop playing with them when his sissy is at school. They are very sturdy and snap and unsnap together very easily, yet the bottoms don't fall off easily with play, so they stay together nicely. I would recommend these for a child and any penguin lover. Very fun and cute.

They are plastic - but they are still great
Picked this up as a stocking stuffer. they are a good deal for the price. My bad for not even thinking about wood versus plastic, so I thought I would mention it. These seem to be well enough made and have survived a couple months of play so far.

Great set of nesting penguins!
I never imagined that this set of nesting penguins would get played with so much at my house. I bought them with my four year old in mind, but my two year old is obsessed with them and plays with them daily.The set comes with six different sized penguins. It is great for developing fine motor skills, for developing vocabulary (talking about which one is the littlest, biggest, etc) and for visual discrimination.I have a set of Russian Matryoshka dolls that a friend brought me several years ago. They are wooden and nicely painted but really hard for my kids to open and close on their own. This set on the other hand is very easy for my kids to manipulate and so they prefer to play with it.

My Son Loves These
I purchased the Fang, Ninja, and Robot matryoshka madness nesting dolls for my boys, and they all love them. They are plastic, not wood, but I think they will hold up fine as long as no one goes out of their way to stomp on them or anything. My boys love pulling them all apart and setting them up and having little robot/ninja/monster wars with them. They also love that even the tiniest one opens up and they can hide a tiny treasure inside it.

Unique Craft
I bought this for my neighbors daughter for Christmas ~ she's really into crafty things and I was running out of idea's of what to get her (we've already gotten her so many different things). My girls love the nesting dolls, and this young lady loves animals so I thought it was a perfect combination. She loved it! After she opened it on Christmas Day she had to paint it and get started, now both of my girls want it!

SPLENDID! :oD
I ordered these months ago, but Amazon didn't have them in stock. I wanted them badly enough to wait for nearly 4 months to get them, and I'm so glad that I did! Not only are they absolutely adorable, but the shape of them is perfect for scooping, and I love how there is a 2/3 cup and a 3/4 cup as well, unlike standard measuring cup sets. I keep them neatly nested together on my kitchen counter, because not only are they functional, but cute as kitchen decor while also freeing up valuable space in my kitchen drawers as well. They are great!

Fun & Cute!
These are the cutest measuring cups ever. They are a hard white plastic and thin, but not brittle. I know because I dropped them on my granite counter top and they didn't shatter The measurements are written on the insides, so look before you measure. Overall, they were worth the purchase.

Does anyone reviewing these actually use them?
Yes, these are very cute! They look nice on my counter! Now that we've got that out of the way, they are NOT very functional! I don't like getting my hands into everything that I'm measuring and that's exactly what you have to do with these if you're using them to scoop. There is a lot of finagling to get the cups level...I had no idea how crucial handles on measuring cups were until I started using these!These are good if you cook once in a blue moon, or as a decorative NOVELTY back-up set, but I would not recommend these to anyone who uses measuring cups on a daily basis.
