As someone who stands or walks much of the day, these are lifesavers. They are more comfortable than even running shoes and, while they are not stylish, they are appropriate for any office. This is my 2nd pair of this same shoe. I have had my brown pair refurbished twice and will finally have to replace them, so the price spreads out over a period of years. The multiple eyelets can accommodate thicker socks if necessary also. Lastly, these are my favorite shoes for travel.

The best ever
As I aged, my feet lost their natural padding. I had tried orthopedic shoes, insert and you name it. Then I discovered the Mephisto Match. They may appear to be expensive, but their quality, fit and comfort are worth every penny.

True fit and comfort
This will be short and sweet. I've been buying Mephisto shoes for 20 years. In my opinion they are the most comfortable shoes one can purchase. Although they are quite expensive relative to most shoes, their fit and comfort makes them worth the price.

Great Arch Support!
Unlike the other reviewer, I was able to try on a pair of these shoes at a local store many years ago and did not have problem with sizing. I purchased my first pair of Helen Mephistos in town and when the time came to replace the first pair, I found the replacements on Amazon. My second pair are the black patent and they look pretty sharp...casual, but sharp. With a good manicure, they are ok for business casual dress code.Of note is that my first pair were brown and it seems that the brown colored footbed would stain the soles of my feet if I wore them all day. This doesn't happen with the black patent sandals which have a lighter gray colored footbed.

Great sandals, my wife loves them!
I bought those as a gift for my wife & she claims they are the best sandals she's ever worn! They are comfortable & stylish, highly recommended. My only caution is that they are made small so i would encourage you to order one size bigger, especially you are a half size (if you are 7 or 7.5, order a size 8).

Mephisto thong sandles
This is my replacement pair. After about 3 years of wearing them and treating them badly, they finally wore out. I love these shoes! I have plantar fasciitis and need the arch support that these shoes provide. Actually, most of the Mephisto brand is very comfortable.

Excellent Everyday Comfort
I currently own six pair of these shoes, and have been wearing this brand/model for almost 10 years now. I wear them on land, not for marine use, and wear them every day, most of the day. I own so many so they can "rest" between wears. I moved to Mephisto when I started having problems with my feet, planter's fasciitis. I use an insert, called SuperFeet, inside the shoes to help reposition the musscle and fatty tissue of my heel into a rounded area, rather than the formerly painful flat area. At one time, I was hobbled so badly I couldn't go from the bedroom to the bathroom in bare feet because my feet felt so bad. Now, while I wear the Inserts inside my Mephistos during the day, I can easily walk across hard stone and wood floors barefoot without even thinking about it.I consider my plantar's fasciitis almost healed, due to Mephisto's and SuperFeet. That's a huge deal for someone who formerly had such pain and ongoing discomfort.Unlike the "first" poster...

Love them!
This is my second pair. The first lasted 6 years. Mephisto are the most comfortable brand ever made. It takes a couple of days to stretch the leather strap for comfort on my high instep but then could live in them.the white goes with everything. Never have aching legs or feet with Mephisto. Always worth the price paid.

most comfortable sandle
This is the second time I have ordered these . I wore the the first two out....but it took 5 years of constant wear as well as being initially broken in by a teething puppy. I have approximately 12 or 14 pairs of Mephisto's in all colors (lime, peach , brown etc.) they are the most comfortable, lasting and cute....love the violette with the flower...wish they had those in pastels as well
