This is a great eyelash curler, it works really well for a dramatic curl. BUT the best part is its little so you can actually carry it with you, unlike those big metal ones. It comes with a replacment pad, but it took me a while to figure out where it was... on the bottom of it. Its great and so much nicer then the S. U. One everyone thinks is so great. Top to learn more

wonderful product
I read about this curler in Good Housekeeping, and because of their glowing review, I thought I'd try it. My lashes are thin, but using this curler which is designed very well to separate your lashes as it curls, made a huge difference! I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but I was wrong. The design is different from other curlers, but it is easy to adapt to, and I think this unique design is what makes it work much better than others. Top to learn more

The best eye-lash curler I've purchased
Forget those metal eye lash curlers you buy at drug stores, sephora, macy's or wherever you shop for make up. I read reviews about this curler on folica.com just to see what others have to say about this product, and they were right. I'm Asian, my eyelashes are not long, and I've had difficulty curling them with the common metal eyelash curlers (Revlon, Maybelline, Avon, etc). But this small little curler has done wonders for me! It's so compact, and I can tell that this is a quality curler. It even has an extra cushion inserted into the bottom of the curler (you can't see it through these pictures). And as I learned on the TV show "What Not to Wear", just curling your eyelashes makes you look more awake (if you haven't had enough zzz's) =)

Best curler for hard-to-curl or sparse/wimpy lashes
My lashes aren't the best. So-called curling mascaras don't do a thing for them. In an attempt to improve their appearance I have tried about a dozen different eyelash curlers. None works as well as this one. Its small profile allows me to apply just the right amount of pressure needed to curl my lashes effectively, without breakage or damage.For an "everyday" curl, I apply the curler to the base of my lashes, release it, then "walk" it out to the ends of my lashes. Takes about a minute for each eye. For a "dressier," longer-lasting curl I heat the pad with a hairdryer for about 10 seconds first.Combined with your favorite mascara, this is a wonderful product for great lashes.

absoloutely worth it!
I ordered this product after reading good reviews from other sites. I have longer lashes, and I was skeptical that it would not work, but it works amazingly, with or without mascara. It is so tiny, too.. I'm amazed.If you are considering buying those regular metal scissor-handle curlers, don't bother. this works better, and is smaller and easier to carry.great product!

Awesome Curler, A MUST have item in your makeup bag!
Ever since I first started curling my eyelashes at the age of 12, I have always used heated eyelash curlers. I've always had great results with them, because my eyelashes are very, VERY straight. The main problem I had with the heated eyelash curler was that if I was in a hurry, I couldn't curl my lashes because it took too long to heat. Also, I would always have to replace the battery every month or so. My final reason for searching for a normal lash curler was the fact that the heated curlers didn't keep my lashes curled throughout the day, so I wanted to try something different.So,I searched all over Google and read review after review, which pointed me to purchase a Japonesque eyelash curler (either the "Go Curl" or "Power Curl"). I have never heard of this brand before, so I was very skeptical about purchasing a product that I have never heard of. BEST CURLER I'VE EVER USED
This eyelash curler is fantastic! My lashes stay curled for two days! When I read a review on it, the reviewer said that she had trouble with the black one because she couldn't see her lashes while using it. So she was going to buy the pink one. So that's what I did. The pink one is great. You can see what you're doing, because you can see your lashes. It comes with an extra rubber replacement stored on the curler itself. Also if you call the number they will supply you with extra replacements for the lifetime of your curler for FREE. The curler is small & light weight & is easy to use. It doesn't have bars on the sides so it doesn't pinch when you curl the outer eyelashes. As far as I'm concerned this is the only curler to use! Top to learn more

Works great ,but does break easily. I am on #6!
I think I have purchased 6 (!) of these eyelash curlers over the last ~3-4 years. Mine last a maximum of a few months, because of what the other reviewers are saying. The little hinge pieces of plastic break very easily, and seem very vulnerable to wear-and-tear. I suppose I could try to get some money back from the company, but I figure, at just over $10 a curler, for the easy and ouch-less eyelash curling and transportability factor, it's worth it. On the last few curlers, I have tried using very gentle pressure (hardly pushing at all, relying more on time of pressure), and they do last longer, but still break down over time. If you expect it to last longer than a couple months, don't buy it. If you think it is a great curler (like I do), and don't mind spending a little more in the long run with replacements, go for it! Surprising
I have been a Shu Eurema eyelash curler user for 10 years, to me nothing else even came close. I used other eyelash curlers over the years but not one even compared to the Shu brand. I have heard a lot of the Japonesque brand and decided to try it knowing I wouldn't like it.I am pleasantly surprised how well it works, it curls and is comfortable to use! I curl my eyelashes and it lasts all day. It works better than the Shu Eurema! I never thought I would ever say that.I also love the fact you can get free refills from Japonesque, thats a nice touch! Amazing and lashes stay curled!
I've used drugstore brand eyelash curlers for 35 years -- wish I'd stepped up to the plate sooner and spent the money on a GOOD one! My eyelashes are long and grow straight down toward the floor - I would take the drugstore brand and hold it under my hairdryer to heat it a bit before I applied mascara and THEN, the curl never lasted all day. With the Japonesque - the curl lasted all day with or without mascara - AMAZING! And the fact that the silicone refills are FREE for life by just asking Japonesque seals the deal for me. Have patience learning to use it
I love this eyelash curler! It really takes a while (maybe hours) to get used to it. Just keep at it! I have NO eyelashes, and my old metal curler just didn't make them stand out much. This one gets up to the root close enough to really make them CURL and show up. I use it before and after I put on mascara. The reason I'm on this website is because I'm looking for another one. The first one I bought in different state while on vacation, and I want one for my gym bag and one for at home. I've had it for quite a while and just changed the pad (conveniently located in the handle) and it even stated on the package that we can get replacement pads free for life. I don't know how to do that (or if they will end up charging S & H), but I'm getting ready to look into that, too. Top to learn more

This different style of curler may take a little bit of getting used to, but it's worth it. I used to use the classic silver scissors-handled type (similar to , but I'm not sure what brand mine was), but this was second nature after just a few tries. I get fewer eyelid pinches with this curler, and it doesn't pull out lashes when they're too close to the corner of the curler.This "double curler" has two ridges spaced apart, so instead of squeezing once near the lash line then moving out on the lash and squeezing again, you get both curls with one squeeze. I've done the double pinch with this double curler anyway; the curl was really defined, but it was a little much for a daytime look. Depends on your eye
This will work very well for you if you have a relatively flat eyelash bed. I don't, so it isn't working for me. It makes a nice curl, but I need to reposition it at least 4 times to curl from inner to outer corner. It's very difficult to place on your lashes except on the center ones; you can't really see the lashes. If you do get it I suggest getting pink for dark (or mascara on your) lashes and black if you have blonde lashes. The company has a free pad replacement service which is nice. Top to learn more

Great Eyelash Curler, but Not Made to Last
It took me a while to talk myself into purchasing such an expensive eyelash curler. My lashes are stick straight and heavy, which makes curling my lashes quite a challenge. For years, I used a curler I purchased at a drugstore, with little results, so I just gave up on curling my lashes. The only thing that seemed to work was when I would rest the curler on my radiator in the bathroom, which warmed it up. Then and only then would I get any kind of curl.
