Product Description

HitchSafe Key Vault secures up to 9 spare keys, credit cards and driver's license inside a 10,000 combination drawer. The solid metal vault secures inside a standard 2" hitch receiver via to sliding internal bolts that interlock with the two external hitch pins. The vault is self-contained and can only be removed by knowing the combination to the drawer. An attractive cover protects and conceals the HitchSafe. The HitchSafe takes only seconds to install/uninstall with no tools required. Great for spare key storage or those who do not want to hassle with or lose keys during outdoor activities.

NOTE: 2005-Current Toyota Tacomas and 2007-Current Tundras require optional longer pins. The HitchSafe fits all other makes and models including RV's, all OEM and all aftermarket hitch receivers.

Hitchsafe good value
The hitchsafe quickly installed in the hitch, and the combination was quickly set. Keys fit in fine, but a credit card had to be bent a little to make it. After three weeks of driving through rain, the pins that fit into the receiver have started to rust. It works great for what I wanted - a secure place to put extra keys.

Sturdy and compact..
The Nano vault NV200 is sturdy, compact and provides a safe manner to transport guns in states that require a locked container as well as keeping them out of the hands of minors and folks who don't know how to safely handle them. The included cable won't stop someone with bolt cutters from removing the gun from your car or house, but it will definitely challenge most other attempts. It can be breached, but not without significant time and effort.The vault is well made and finished. For the price, it is excellent. I use mine for legal baggage and car transport as well as "hiding" the gun safely close by in the evening or while traveling.The only way to improve this would be to offer a model with an electronic keypad to reduce the likelihood that someone would find the keys and open the case.

Exactly what I needed!
I know many others have stated that this safe smell horrible, I wonder if GunVault changed the type of foam they use. The first thing I did was smell it after I opened it up and I didn't really detect any obscene odor as many have reported. It had a faint smell like spray paint, but nothing that was unbearable. Regardless, this safe was exactly what I needed for travel and storing my firearm when unable to carry it. As a side note, I noticed that this safe also has the ability to be bolted down securely as well.

Decent and well-priced
This safe is pretty good. The price is definitely worth it. Like others have said, the foam smells like moth balls. I put them in the washer on hot, then in the dryer on medium, and the smell went away. With the cable, I can safely carry a gun in my car without breaking the law. Well worth the peace of mind.

Big but Slow
I love having this flash drive with me everywhere I go. I can haul around massive amounts of data in my pocket for use or viewing/listening anywhere. HOWEVER, it's the slowest flash drive I've ever used. My most recent previous one was a SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4 GB and it was fast. This flash drive, however, is slower than all other flash drives and external drives I've used. Soooo.... I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to carry around a lot of data but isn't worried about lightning-speed data transfers.

Large capacity, slow write speeds
So along the lines with all the other reviewers, this is a great accessory if you need to carry around with you or easily transport larger files/documents/etc but know that it's very slow in transferring data. I had to move about 25GB worth of images onto this device for a client and it took about an hr and half to transfer it all.Also, the way this thumb drive is designed (and there are many others in the same design) it can become quite difficult to plug this USB thumb drive into the slot. Especially if you don't have a lot of finger space behind your computer desktop, iMac monitor, etc. With little room, you won't be able to hold down the red slider to keep it in place while you push the thumb drive in. I wish one you slid the USB connector out, it either clicked and stayed there until you release it, or somehow it locked into place instead of being a free sliding connector.3/5 stars because of the slow speeds and design.

Solid and easy to use
I just bought my second of these after a little problem with my first one: I forgot the combination! I spent about two hours trying various combinations and failing to remember what I used. So I took a hacksaw, chisel and hammer to it, just to see how tough it is.I started by trying to cut it open with the saw while it was on the house, but it was hard to use the saw that close to the house and switched to the chisel after cutting part-way through the face of the KeySafe. I then took the chisel and hammer to the cut I had started. A few minutes of pounding allowed me to get it off of the house, but it was still closed. I tried a few more minutes on my workbench, using just the hammer and chisel, and couldn't get it open.This thing is not going to be opened by a casual effort. It would be easier (by far) to break a window and enter that way. Some of the comments have complained that the order of the buttons doesn't matter. That's true, but irrelevant. There are...

Fantastic way to avoid being locked out!
This keysafe is actually much slimmer (widthwise) than it looks. I fit it between the frame of my door and screen door, up high where nobody will see it. This little investment has saved my bacon on numerous occasions. It is a great way to avoid being locked out of your house, especially if you forget your keys in the mad rush to work or school. The frustration of that happening even once would cost you far more than you will pay for this. I kept seeing the slimline unit on Discovery's "It Takes a Thief," but I am just as happy with this one. So, save your money; it is exactly the same unit with a different aesthetic design (same mechanism).As other reviewers have said, there is no set order to the numbers in your combination. I do not find this to be a huge drawback, however, because what others have not noted is that your combo can be ANY number of total digits, from 1 to 10. This could make code-cracking more frustrating than, say, a 4-digit system with a fixed entry...
