nutrition packed tablet
This kelp tablet is packed with nutrition. I can tell from use that it has a bit of other things besides iodine like selenium and copper, and probably a whole battery of other trace minerals along with some vitamins etc..., all of which are very helpful if you are run down and need immune support. I've tried other kelp tablets (like the Whole Foods brand) and they just don't do the trick for me. This one is great: it helps me feel stronger. I discovered this tablet after a prolonged illness and now take one every day; I wish I had found it sooner!I also trust the Vitamin Shoppe store brand; they also have brick & mortar near me, but don't carry this tablet in the store. great product!
This kelp product is everything that it says it is. It has taken my appetite away and given me energy. I don't get as sleepy during the day anymore. I have only been on it about three to four weeks, so I will see if I lose weight or not. But where it takes my appetite away, I have high hopes. I would recommend this to anybody. Incredible. I Was Happily Surprised.
I had done a little journal research on iodine supplementation before purchasing this, and there's some evidence that low iodine levels can lead to symptoms of hypothyroidism (tiredness, weight gain, cold hands and feet, etc) and possibly breast, prostate and thyroid cancers, ADHD, pre-eclampsia, and autism. One good overview article is at: [...]I have many of these conditions running in one side of my family so I decided to give it a try. Within an hour or two, my hands started to feel warm. I immediately experienced a great increase in energy, which remains after taking iodine daily for the last two months. I'm also sleeping much better. My wife and son started taking this as well, also with very, very positive results.According to NHANES, the large government study that examines nutrition in America over time, we ingest half as much iodine as we did in 1970, and very large percentage of us are deficient. This is a good way to replace what we've lost.

kelp caused positive change
1. I got this for someone else but ordered two (thought I would try out). After first couple of capsules (one per day), I actually started to get good sleep. I woke up refreshed. Life seemed much more positive. I initally considered that perhaps I am having a placebo effect. Could be but I am taking it for 3 months and feel generally better if I take the capsules. I cut down on coffee significantly because I don't feel tired in the afternoons.2. I noticed that I feel better if I split one capsule into two and have 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening. I just wrap it in a very small piece of kleenex and take it :). The capsule itself contains gelatin so the vegetarians (and Jewish and Muslim) have to do that. I wish they had this in vegetable gelatin or other non-gelatin capsules.3. I tried to take multivitamins that contain iodine and I must say that the effect is not noticable. So I am sticking with kelp. Plus it us more natural.4...

It works.
I have had breast pain for a year. I had an US done on my breast that confirmed I have Fibrocystic Breasts. The pain was really bothersome especially when I lie down or sit. I had to look for a certain position or wear tight bra to lessen the pain. I took pain killers but they didn't work that well plus regular intake for a long period of time poses 'bad' systemic side effects. I stumbled across this product and reviews that other women wrote who had breast pain. I decided to try it and in about 2 days the pain was almost if not all gone. It's now my 3rd week and I just have to say that I'm satisfied. I would definitely recommend this to women who experience breast pain. BTW, I take one cap a day.

Do you need iodine?
I bought this product because I have thyroid nodules and was concerned that maybe they were a result of an iodine deficiency, since I do not use iodized salt. Prior to starting taking this supplement, I could feel and see my largest nodule growing, there was uncomfortable pressure and it would spasm (gross, I know). Since taking this product, these symptoms have decreased. I do not have a repeat ultrasound until May to determine whether the size of the nodule has decreased, but I will update the review when I find out.Regardless, this supplement is very easy to swallow and only has a mildly oceany smell/taste. Even if it doesn't "cure" my thyroid condition, I am happy to take it because it provides the essential minerals of iodine, potassium, magnesium, calcium and iron. Top to learn more

Iodine is needed to make thyroxin
Over the years, while I've fought cancer in the natural, after my doctors told me to go home and die, I found my EHA (Elemental Hair Analysis) exams always showed my iodine levels non-existent. I did put my cancer into total remission and stopped the development of tumors some 11 years ago, but ridding myself of the existing tumors, which have no blood supply that formed...well, that has proven a challenge. I took out table salt with iodine in it, because I didn't need the chlorine. I've used other supplements over the past 17 years in my battle to keep my iodine levels up, but this one is a great product for the money.While using high dosages of cesium and rubidum to raise my internal pH to work on dissolving some inoperable tumors that formed in my back, I started to develop heart problems. Kelp contains iodine that can prevent cancer per my readings. I picked Icelandic Kelp since it is collected from 'cold water' sites. Less likely to have toxins remaining in kelp, per my readings anyway. Per product pkg it speaks of washing kelp etc. hopefully this will do what it states. I take one every other day or little less often.Be careful though, study up on any-all vitamins to be sure they are safe for your body and or medical Hx. Good Kelp
I take kelp since I have an iodine deficiency along with my low blood pressure (so get dizzy on ladders or anything and couldn't even change ceiling lights before. This is a little better than the kelp I used to take since I only have to take one of these, versus 3 of those a day (higher mcg). So when I need more, I will order this brand again.
