There's a lot of good reasons to choose resistance bands to exercise...-good for home workouts-great for traveling (some gyms in hotels are just pitiful); these are very portable-great to use with exercise videos (a lot of ex. Love bands but need more detailed instructions
I am new to using resistance bands so take this to mind in understanding that I was not quite sure on how exactly to use the door anchor and ankle band. Sure it has a paragraph explanation but I really just needed more to make sure I was doing it correctly. Wish also that they illustrated more than just 6 ways to use the bands, a nice wall chart demonstrating a few more with a bit more detail would have been worked nicely. The resistance bands themselves are very sturdy, they look to be extremely well made so that I am not fearful of them breaking or coming apart. Overall a lot nicer set than I expected.

Wonderful product, easy to stay motivated!
I bought this mini-elliptical after reading all the reviews on this and other similar products. I bought this item for three main reasons:1 - Low price2 - Small size3 - PortabilityI like the elliptical movement because I have bad ankles, and treadmills and steppers hurt me after a short time working out. First one arrived broken, had no problems with return/replacement.Very easy to assemble and does a good job for a low price. Some people may have a bit of trouble keeping their balance, but I had no difficulty after a few spins on this -- I think trying to maintain balance only enhances the effects of the workout. Small computer does a decent job.Biggest cons would have to be that 1) the range of motion is definitely smaller than on a "real" elliptical and 2) the resistance setting isn't all that great.All in all, if you have a small place and don't want to pay $40+/mo for a gym membership, this is a great alternative to running up and down stairs.

Great little piece of exercize equipment
It was pretty easy to assemble and sturdier than i thought it would be. I had bought one without a handle at sports authority years ago but this one was much better. the steps are plenty big enough for your feet and the whole thing is fairly sturdy. it is also light weight which makes it easy to pull out in front of the tv to step. the only thing i wasn't sure about was that there is a pulley underneath and the steps go a bit sideways as well as up and down. This is good because you can adjust the resistance more than other kinds but it felt akward on my knee joints at first. now that i am getting used to that aspect i think it is a nice piece of equipment for the price. no trouble with delivery or anything.

Great machine...while it lasts
Hubby purchased this as a surprise for my birthday! OMG, I lost 7 pounds in one week from working out on this little machine. The size was perfect, the work out great. I got so I was looking forward to my first thing in the morning 800 on this as I caught up on the morning news.Sadly, it broke yesterday. The bolt that holds the cable to the fly wheel broke. We cannot find a part that matches it. Sunny Health and Fitness did respond promptly to my email but seem to be giving me the run around with requests to send a picture of the broken bolt...well measure the bolt, do you have the recpt? Scan it and send that to us.The recpt. was thrown away when we got this as the place we got it from will NOT refund for any reason at all.Needless to say, I will get another stair stepper...just not this brand nor at places like Marukai that will not be flexible with customers.

I finally found the perfect workout machine.
I've been looking for quite a while for an "all-in-one" home gym, to replace several pieces of gym equipment that I've been using regularly for several years: a Weider 8510 pulley-type machine, a Roman crunch bench; a Body by Jake; and free weights.I looked at the "Total Gym" machine (the one pushed by Christie Brinkley and Chuck Norris). I went to their website and requested their free video; a few days later, I got a phone call from them, telling me that if I bought it that very day, I could save $100. "I want the video", I said. I never got the video. That sent up "red flags" in my head for the Total Gym people. I resent being hustled.Then I found this item, the Total Body Works 5000. I could not find a single negative review for it, anywhere.I bought it. I love it. Even though I've been working out for years, I am impressed. It will help free up a lot of space in my basement!

Read Reviews of Total Body Works 5000/ Same Thing
I LOVE THIS, but I give Weider 0 stars for not including a DVD or even a workout chart with even 25% of the exercises you can do on this thing. I had to go to the Total Gym website and copy images into a word document (http://www.totalgym.com/learn/exercises.html). It is not easy to find without using this link. You can find some here too (http://www.efisportsmedicine.com/home/education/exercise-library). I will make my own manual from the pics. I might even order some of their DVDS and accessories. Perhaps this is what Weider expects people to do and is why the machine costs a fraction of the Total Gym. I paid under 90.00 for mine with 15% off Dickssportinggoods on line.Also, the directions are terrible. Ironically, once you figure it all out, you realize it is common sense, but before then, it is a bit confusing. Some other people had the same problem I had, those knobs! Do not bother putting on the handle and foot rest first. Do screw on the stabilizing foot...

My favorite home gym
I'm on my second one, now. The newer versions have thicker board padding, better quality vinyl, and some improvements in the wielding. The corners of the board's vinyl will eventually start splitting still, but some black tape can solve this. It doesn't really alter its function if you just let it happen without taping. Every few years the gym needs to be replaced as parts wear, but at these prices you could actually buy a new one each year and still be saving money compared to the competition. Certain parts will not wear, and you can take them off the old one and keep as spares considering how expensive buying each one is from Weider. Some caution is necessary on the single-pole stand. Make sure the peg is always securely in before getting on the machine. Also never let pets or children get anywhere close to that end when you're using it. Finally, inspect the cable routinely for significant damage and replace it BEFORE the cable actually breaks. Never use it until failure...

The resistance is nice. You'll get a good workout with this inexpensive machine. Storage is convenient, but don't be fooled, 35 pounds is heavy to move around from room to room. Keep the machine close to where you plan on using it. Finally, the footstraps were a major complaint. Great Rower For The Money
I have had this rower for a week now and it has been working great. The first rower I bought (a different brand of rower) broke down after 15 min of use, but the Stamina Body Glider is well built and very easy to use. The instruction booklet is very clear. It only took a few minutes to put the machine together.The amount of resistance is adjustable and the machine is very quiet. The only noise you hear is from the shock absorber type device which provides the resistance. It looks and feels like a more expensive piece of equipment, but provides the same type of workout that those higher priced models provide. Relatively lightweight, the Stamina Body Glider comes in at around 35lbs. The light weight makes it easy to move the machine around. I am thoroughly satisfied with this machine so far and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a rower.

Great exercise choice for sedentary or obese people
I was inspired to purchase a pedal exerciser because of the savings it offers from the more costly stationary bike and because it is a viable fitness option for people like me who are sedentary and obese. I have been using my pedals since they day they arrived by mail and love the fact that they come fully assembled, are cost-effective and compact enough to store without dedicated storage space. It's a Winner
Got the peddler yesterday and put it together and used it last evening. It's a very substantially constructed item- nothing cheezy about it. Being relatively heavy, it doesn't slide around easily when you use it.The great thing about it is that it is simple to assemble: two screws attach the 2 feet parts to the peddle mechanism and those screws have nice, large, smooth knobs that you turn to tighten down- no sharp ends or tiny screw heads requiring any tools to try to work with arthritic fingers. Also, the knob regulating peddle resistance is smooth and well-made too. This is a great feature- being able to make it harder to peddle as you get stronger (this way you can continue to get stronger).Foot peddle straps are nice and large and there's no open peddle mechanism or exposed chain to get clothing caught in- and the peddling action is very smooth.All-in-all it's a high-quality item, not some chintzy thing and it appears to be made to last...
