Sanyo Delievers
I bought this for one reason alone: Classic style rechargeable batteries after a month or so, will discharge most of their charge! Requiring another recharging cycle, wasting your time, and increasing your power bill. It also made it impossible to have a spare fully charged and ready to go. I don't know how Sanyo did it, but I am glad they did. These are all high quality batteries, all 'Made in Japan', that look stylish [love the shades of blue] and work just as described.A must buy for any household. I use them in wireless mouse, remotes, and my camera. You should too ~

Excellent Camera Flash Batteries
I bought two of this set to use in my Canon 580EX DSLR flash and Canon CP-E4 external flash power pack. The AA are blue and AAA are green, as these are the ones with 2000 cycle times with no hysteresis. I used 12 AA batteries for my flash system and the remaining cells to be used for other things like remote controls and wireless mice. I could not be more pleased. The flash recycle time is the fastest I've seen with any battery. This includes disposable alkaline lithium Energizer and Duracell AA cells. In one evening I was able to do nearly 600 flash shots without ever having to wait for the flash to recycle! I kept going, thinking "well, my flash may not fire this time since the batteries are loosing their charge." I knew the Eneloops would be better, but I didn't know it would be this much better. I wish I had gotten the Eneloops a couple of years ago. The charger does take several hours to recharge Eneloop cells and it would probably be best to get a high quality Maha...

these are the newest 1500 cycle models...just without the cool blue tones
i just received my 16-pack of eneloops and can confirm they are the HR-3UTGA models, which are the 1500 cycle, 1900mah min batteries. in case you were wondering if these have been yanked out of other packages or something, they come in 4 separate official 4-batter blister packs. work as expected. these are the only rechargeables you should buy. even the apple batteries are supposedly rebranded eneloops.i was really looking forward to getting the new dark/light blue toned eneloops, and the only thing that disappointed me about the order was that they are all white. it's a really minor gripe, but the image was a bit misleading and the colors would have made it easier to separate my older eneloops from the new ones. thankfully, the order comes with 2 battery holders. i blame my OCD for letting me get bothered by the color of a battery that nobody even sees. right now, the only way to get the blue-toned eneloops (other than on ebay and whatnot) is through the costco pack.

More than expected
I received my 16 Sanyo Eneloop batteries today in 4 4-packs, with 2 8-cell battery holders included as advertised. What I didn't expect is that these are the new model of Eneloops rated at 1500 recharge cycles instead of the previous 1000. The two free battery holders are mentioned in the "Technical Details" section of the webpage but nothing is said about the batteries being the new improved (and more expensive) version. The picture on the webpage shows the older type as well so when I ordered I was convinced I was ordering the older type. All my experience with Eneloops is with the 1000-cycle type. They are long-lasting and trouble free. They last really long in devices right out of their packaging without being charged. I deliberately buy the 1000-cycle type because they are lower priced than the newer version and because they are already super batteries so why pay a premium for new and improved? For all I know some other aspect of their performance might be compromised in boosting...

Eneloop Vs Eneloop XX.
The good:1) Made in Japan.2) Pre-charged & ready to use.3) Rechargeable 1500X (X = times / cycles). I'm happy with just 500X.The not so good:1) 2000 mAh. That's not enough juice to provide stamina for power hungry devices.Background:For over 4yrs now, I've been using the 'made in Japan', Low Self Discharge (LSD) AA & AAA rechargeable batteries from Sanyo called Eneloop & Eneloop 1500. I use them with all the remote controls & electronic devices / gadgets that I have. I have over a dozen pairs of the Sanyo Eneloop batteries & I like to keep them organized. I have them all marked / labeled in pairs so that I don't mix the batteries when I'm charging them. The plain white color of the Sanyo Eneloop is a plus point here.For remote controls, the Eneloops are perfect. A single charge c'd stay for more than a year. No complaints. So far So Good
Batteries arrived quick in retail packs of 4. I replaced the factory Panasonic batteries in my cordless phones. With the old batteries we would charge them for hours, then go to use the phone and it would just die. I almost threw out the phone which we liked when it was working.With these new batteries the phones are working better than ever!The batteries were supposed to be pre-charged, but after installing them the phones prompted me to charge for 7 hours.....but I think that is just a standard message whenever the phone senses batteries were changed. Batteries hold their charge very well.

$26 for 12 is a great price for these batteries.
I have completely switched to Sanyo about 5 years ago. Because they are rechargeable so many times and keep energy for so long, they are clearly among the best batteries on the market. The price of 26 dollars I have paid for 12 of them is very reasonable, close to what I used to pay for 8 in the past.
