D-mannose changed my life
For the past 2 years I suffered a uti every time I had sex, regardless of obsessive hygiene. The constant use of antibiotics (macrobid, cipro, bactrim) damaged my joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves, especially those in my arms hands and shoulders. The physical and emotional toll of the uti's and antibiotics was severe and I was at the point where I thought I could never have sex again. By chance I read an obscure testimonial online about the healing power of this magical sugar and I am relieved to say that since using d-mannose I no longer get a uti after sex. This fact has changed my life and my body is slowly healing from the effects of the antibiotics. Recommended to All Sufferers of UTI's
Not all D-Mannose products are created equal. I discovered this because I tried a different kind first and the results were okay, but not amazing. I read that 100% pure D-Mannose is preferable, which is why I turned to this product, and I can definitely say that it works so much better. My UTI's are way more infrequent, and when they do come I can clear them up within a day or two. I take a dose every few hours during an infection, then one dose a day in between as a preventative measure. I haven't felt this free of UTI's in years. When they do come, they seem less severe because this product is already in my system. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who suffers from UTI's.

Finally, something that works!
A bladder infection is nothing to take lightly. If you ignore it or try home remedies, you could end up in the hospital with a kidney infection; so, if you *know* you have a full-blown infection, please see a doctor! On the other hand, if you think you *might* be getting one, or you get them frequently, maybe D-Mannose is worth a try. Whenever I get that telltale stinging sensation or tenderness in the lower abdomen, I immediately start taking 1 tsp of D-Mannose in water, twice a day. I usually feel better within an hour after the first dose, but I find it takes about three days to make sure the discomfort stays gone. I think I might get even better results if I took it once a week as a preventative measure. Prior to finding this product, I'd tried cranberry juice concentrate capsules, pure cranberry juice, gallons of water, and a couple of home remedies I found on the Internet, but I always ended up in the doctor's office anyway. EXCELLENT!!!!!
I tried this product after suffering for years with recurrent UTI infections and repeatedly taking antibiotics. I finally went to the urologist and was prescribed medication that I had to take for 3 months straight. I was fine for a couple of years and than BAM!!! I got another one and wound up on antibiotics again!!! I began to search for a better alternative to antibiotics just in case I got another infection and I found D-Mannose by Solaray. Honeymoon UTI's- GONE
I have been suffering from recurrent UTI's caused by sex for the past 6 months or so out of absolutely nowhere (I had been reguarly sexually active for about 8 months prior to my dreadful bout of UTI's). Anti-biotics were working, but at the price of my mental and physical health, and always resulted in a yeast infection (which is kind of counterproductive if you think about it). Tired of feeling like a drone, I did my research and came across D-Mannose. Instead of ordering online, I went to my nearest natural foods store and bought this product. Needless to say, a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulder. I take 2 capsules before sex (usually 1 or 2 hours before) and that's it! No follow up dosage! Only when I need it! At this price, you can't beat it! And it doesn't mess with your body the way anti-biotics do! Many swear by mixing the 100% powder without the Cran-Actin in your drink, but this is quicker and easier. I am a believer now!

Another useful over-the-counter product
I talked to my urologist about this product after my niece said she used it to clear up bladder infections, and also a kidney infection. He said it can't hurt. He described it as a large molecule sugar which flushes out your system. It is not an antibiotic, it is more of an inhibitor that prevents infections or helps clear them out. It is worth a try if you are having trouble with urinary track infections. It seems to be of more interest to women than to men, but possibly some men would find it useful (particularly if undergoing treatment for prostate problems, or other problems requiring catheters).

Great Product! A blessing in Disguise.....
I absolutely love this product. I have recently had an indiana pouch created due to bladder cancer. An indiana pouch is a bladder made out of intestine. My body was having a difficult time adjusting and I kept getting UTI's every two or three weeks with 104 fevers. They required at least a week hospital stay. It was recommended that I start taking D-Mannose from several acquaintances on the bladder cancer network and I haven't been sick in 3 months...and counting!!! I feel absolutely great! No more infections and more energy. Best of all no antibiotics. If you struggle with UTI's I highly recommend this product!! It saved my life!!! Two capsules a day keeps the doctors away!!!

Works Great
I used to have to take antibiotics everytime I got a urinary tract infection which usually caused me more misery because inevitably I would end up getting a yeast infection from taking the antibiotics. Now when I feel a urinary tract infection coming on, I take 2 - 3 D-Mannose capsules with a glass of water and then 4 - 6 hours later or at bed time, I might take 2 more D-Mannose. If need be I take 2 more D-Mannose once or twice a day for a couple more days and that's it. The urinary tract infection is gone. I don't use this product as a preventive maintenance product, I use it in place of taking antibiotics as I feel this is a much safer alternative. It works for me.

Awesome
This is an amazing product. Until I discovered it, I had always tried to treat uti's with cranberry juice/capsules. Sometimes this is all it took and sometimes, I had to resort to an antibiotic. With this product, I was able to cure a fairly severe infection which had already taken hold and was not responding to my usual cranberry treatment. For future uti's, this will always be my first line of defense.

Compared To Other Brands- It works more effectively with 1/3 less pill dosage
D-Mannose is an excellent alternative treatment for urinary tract infections compared to cranberry juice or drinking excessive water. It clears that infection up in no time at all and Source Naturals has mastered it's effectiveness. Other brands may require you to take up to 3 capsules 3 times a day whereas this brand only requires 1 capsule upon rising and 1 before you retire. Source Naturals is a prime example of quality and not quantity. they weren't kidding when they said it works!!!!
I have always had high hopes for all natural treatments and cures for sickness. After all you don't get a headache from the lack of aspirin the headache is simply a sign that something is wrong. (perhaps you need rest, or something to eat or a hot bath) While drugs do often help many of them just turn the sign off for awhile so you don't feel like there is a problem but as the bible says those who trust in there feelings are a fool. I was dealing with a UTI for weeks and finally one day I woke up and weather I went to the bathroom or not I was feeling a discomfort in a personal area. I had to go every few minutes but when I tried almost nothing came out, and at the end of urinating it was painful. I also had the lower back pain and was woozy. Great product to prevent UTI's
I have been taking this product for over two years now and I have had complete success with it keeping my urinary tract free of infection. I used to have 3-4 UTI's a year before I began taking D-Mannose with CranActin. d-mannose alone vs. with cranactin
When I first heard of d-mannose, this is the product that I purchased at my local healthfood store. I was amazed that it could cure my Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) because I had been relying on anti-biotics for 30 years or so since my pelvis was crushed in an accident. The infections were getting more and more numerous over the years and the anti-biotics continued to mess me up with yeast infections and bowel problems, etc.Anyway, I found that this product cured the infections in very short order, in fact faster than the anti-biotics. I was amazed and since there are few if any side affects, I was grateful.However, I read a review on Amazon that said not to bother with the cranactin products because it was just the d-mannose that cured the infections. Good product for a good price.
My main point in writing this review is to say that the price is better here on Amazon than at any health store I've seen. Most health stores charge $40 for the bottle of 30, this is just a much better value online. As for the product, it works great, it'll help you feel better within a day as long as you drink lots of water with it.

Must know the dosage for UTI
This product worked great, just as well as another brand I used...I took one scoop three times per day.. got relief after the first day... whenever I feel those symptoms coming on I use mannose d and it always works... and it tastes great.. the person that wrote an unfavorabe review here must be from one of their competitors! Great, effective product
I have bought many other D-Mannose products online. This one seems to be the best. It is probably better controlled by the manufacturer, as this product is very easy to substitute with fraudulent powder.
