Delicious
The holidays wouldn't be festive without chestnuts, especially the dessert called Mont Blanc. Chocolate, heavy cream and chestnuts--a combination that can't be improved upon. Add a little brandy and you are set for a holiday gift to yourself.

Great Stuff
Chestnuts are the only nut I can eat on my low oxalates diet. I bought this after trying a 16 ounce can of vanilla flavored chestnut sauce from the same company. It was good, but too sweet for my taste. I scoup this into a bowl, add a little vanilla, a little milk and a drizzle of honey, then stir it all together. It makes a spread with just the right sweetness for my taste. I finally have something to replace the nut butters that I used to enjoy.

Fabulous for an Old Family Recipe
This is something that I been looking for to use in an old family holiday cake recipe. I am so glad that I found it. It's as good as I remember it. My mother, who has used this forever, agrees. Fabulous!
I bought this item to bake a Chestnut cake. So, I tried it for Thanksgiving. It turned out fabulous and will be served again for Christmas...the family has requested it. I wish I had a picture to show of the cake! Maybe next time. I will need to order more Chestnut spread because I may run out as it is also great on toast with fresh fruit in the morning, mmmm!

Puree is great - getting it was another matter
First of all, the puree was fabulous, and it was wonderful to be able to find something like this which is very difficult to find even in the specialty grocery stores. That was amazing.However, that being said, it took forever to get the product. It was shipped by way of the moon and came into Illinois and then left Illinois (where it was supposed to be delivered). It even changed shipping carriers. It was (finally) supposed to be delivered by UPS and on their web site it showed one failed attempt. The problem was that people were home, no one tried to ring the door bell, no note on the door, nothing. Called the post office, they said they would try to re-deliver it the following day. Ok. Stayed home the next day. Nothing. No note, no one ringing the door bell, nothing. Looked on line and the UPS site said 2nd attempted delivery. Called the post office again, complained, they said they were sending the package back because no one was home to sign for it. They finally...

Just Add Whipped Cream
I use this pure regularly to make mont blanc, which I regard the king of all deserts. A unique feature of this product that it contains rum, which is missing from many competing products. It is also of ideal consistency for being pressed into vermicelli. You really only need to press it and add whipped cream. That's it.The mont blanc is NOT a healthy desert by any means, but it is the best.
