I recently received this product and I have read the other reviews. First of all, the other reviews have legitimate complaints about the fulfillment, and if you read the replies, "Blake" who is the founder and the person that does one of the shows on liveexercise.com (a free value-added service of this company), acknowledges the errors and corrects the mistakes. What more can you want from the customer service side of things? From a product standpoint, this set along with the other sets this company makes are the best quality home-use bands I have ever used. If you take the bands alone and follow the instructions and exercises in the booklet, you will succeed and this product will deliver everything this company claims. Absolutely a must for anyone wanting to save on gym memberships...
I was a bit wary because I noticed in a couple of other reviews there were a few pieces missing. I received my 12 piece set today - not missing a single piece, and performed a thorough workout. Growing up, I was raised on barbells, dumb bells, and body-weight exercises. Only in the last 7 or 8 months have I been using resistance bands. After burning through a $30 set from a local sporting good's store (one snapped!), I decided it's time to get serious about my equipment. Enter these bands...Not only am I pleased, but I'm thankful; they have a youtube site which covers a LOT of very, very good exercises. Blake explains them with good technique and energy. RESISTANCE BANDS ARE SOMETHING NEW TO ME
When I kept typing in 'resistance bands' on the search engine, Bodylastics kept popping up. It wasn't so much that they claimed theirs were the best, because a lot of companies would claim that. It was because they proved they are the best. Since resistance bands are new to me, I'm still learning which tension is proper for certain exercises. Keep in mind one thing though, don't let the poundage numbers deceive you. This challenge only goes for regular strength people not powerlifters or accomplished bodybuilders. Stand on the middle of the orange 30 lbs tube (one or both of your feet depending on height) and try to do an overhead press. I guarentee when it comes to resistance bands 30 pounds takes on a whole new meaning. That's all for now. UPDATE 1/12/2012. The exercises you can do with Bodylastics is only limited to your imagination and commom sense physics. But the one thing I was able to accomplish was to closely simulate running in a round swimming pool. For those who don't...

Awesome and high quality
Love Bodylastics, have been using them for about 6 months now and love how they give me the workout of free weights but require little space to store and are much cheaper than free weights. Would recommend them to anyone who wants a weight training workout at home. Just make sure you have a door with some space around it to workout. Plus the access to the online workouts is great. I've bought 2 different sets and feel like I have a whole gym in my home. The best thing is that it has cost me less than 2 months membership in a Tokyo gym.

How to receive the "Instruction Manual"
I recently ordered the Bodylastics 11 pc. Basic Tension Stackable System, and I was pleased to receive the packet containing my order within 48 hours. I have no doubt that these are quality materials that will be more than adequate for my needs. However, there was one problem with the materials received. The enclosed DVD is supposed to contain two useful products: (1) some brief (approx. 12 mins. total), but helpful, videos providing tips about how to safely & effectively use the various pieces of equipment; and (2) a PDF file of the 76 page instruction manual that includes pictures and explanations of 127 exercises and suggested exercise plans.The Instruction Manual WAS NOT INCLUDED on the DVD I was sent, although the printed image on the DVD clearly indicates that it should be there. A very rare company
I ordered the Bodylastics Ultra Anchor on the 28th and Bodylastics shipped it to me. A few days later they sent me an email that said they were giving me a refund AND letting me keep the Anchor they sent me because they had sent one for a larger door and I was not given the option to choose a size. Sure enough, when I checked it, it was too big for my door. Then, they sent me an email on how I could "jimmy-rig" it so that I could get some use out of it. While many companies preach about the customer being number one, it is rare to see a company go out of its way in this fashion. I have to say that I'm very impressed with the way they conduct business and it has made me look forward to future dealings for I know that if things go wrong, I won't be in one of those situations where I'm pulling my hair out and spending numerous hours on the phone with some person with no common sense.... we've all been there. You just have to be grateful when a company like this comes along.

Great Product
This is a great home workout system. It was tight and snug on my door originally, but has loosened a little in the middle despite my efforts to tighten it. If I tighten it any more it will interfere with opening and closing the door. But I still give it 5 stars because it really does allow you to keep your workout going at a high intensity, which is important. Using only their door anchor, you'd waste some more time readjusting between every set, but with the Ultra-anchor, it's very fluid to switch between different anchor points.

Tower 200, Weider X Factor START GETTING NERVOUS...
Imagine not having to open and close your door anymore to keep relocating your door anchor. Plus it gives you not one, not two, not even three or four, but ELEVEN count em eleven, eleven rings to attach your bodylastics bands to. Plus thirteen nylon loop straps. That's 24 points of attachment! Your door can become an entire exercise machine with way more variety than The Tower 200 and Weider X Factor combined. Thirteen door anchors alone would run you over 140 bucks. If you go to the bodylastics website they have two videos. Well the anchor itself is very strong and durable. Unfortunately my door was smaller than I thought it was. Here's some good advice Make sure your door is closer to 35" especially if you're going to use the side that the door closes toward you. The door frame takes away door width by a least a half inch on each side. To compensate I folded over the horizontal straps in front and used plastic pull ties to secure them. I am pleased with the set overall, it has all the elements I was looking for, essentially duplicates its components, meaning you can easily split the set into two exercise sets, throw one in the car and keep the other at the office, for example. I also like that it includes the DVDs. I don't use them often, but about once every two months like to change my routine for a week or two and these comes in handy. finally, the materials are of high quality and long lasting. This is my second time buying this type of exercise set and the first set is going strong with near daily use for 1.5 years already.Pricing may seem high. If so, get it and either split the cost/set with a friend, or do as I suggested above. It's a small investment, but will not disappoint you.

Best deal around in exercise equipment
I bought the $55 version of Bodylastics (includes circuit training DVD) based on other people's reviews, and yes, I agree that this product is great! The 4 elastic bands give me all the resistance/tension I could want--I use them singly but I see I could greatly challenge my workout but clipping together more than one band at a time. So far I have been able to emulate almost every gym equpment exercise at home, and all I've needed in addition to the Bodylastics kit is a door, and chair, and an exercise mat. The kit packs conveniently into the included bag, and it all weighs just 4 lbs. Take it anywhere. I registered for the one-year access to Strength Band University (included free), their online detailed description of all the exercises and routines, with videos and PDFs. And to think I almost bought a Bowflex or Total Gym! I feel very smart!

Good addition to home gym or travel
These are great to augment a home gym or for travel. Often when reading about workouts, I will see things that I can't replicate at home with a simple weight bench and treadmill, such as lat pulldowns, or tricep pulldowns, or rowing, etc, etc. These bands really fit the bill for that. You can anchor them in a doorway at any position - low or high - and go to it. Obviously bands increase in tension as you pull them, so it's not exactly like the more constant tension you would get from a cable/weight stack but it still works, and in fact I find it concentrates a good burn on whatever muscle you're working out. Tons of flexibility, if I am traveling I can pretty much make this a decent substitute for any weight-based exercise. I wouldn't recommend it as my only workout tool, but it is great as an additional one.

Good value but not perfect
I've now had a few weeks to work with these bands.The PRO's: Affordable, a good work out, takes up little space, versatile, great book with photos and diagrams of TONS of different exercises to choose from, transportable, the company provides excellent customer service, the DVD is really user-friendly.The CON's: Don't like how the handles slide while in use (would prefer that they stay stationary); I seem to spend about as much time re-positioning the anchor and hooking and unhooking the bands as I do exercising; and (this one really stumps me), I don't understand why I can use the same amount of weight with a dumbell and perform the same exercise that I CAN'T do with the resistance band. This makes me wonder if a person's height/arm/leg length has something to do with it (I'm tall and have long arms and legs). Perhaps for tall folks, the band has a longer way to stretch and the exercise thus becomes more difficult than for a short person????? It would...
