Just like Ethiopia
While cooking my Doro Wat, the smells of Ethiopia filled my kitchen. This Berbere was an excellent mix of spices that closely resembled what I had in Ethiopia. It was a bit "sweeter" than I expected it to be, but I really enjoyed the dish that I made with it. Top to learn more

Great seasoning for soup or stew!
We decided to try this Zamouri Ethiopian spice mixture and we discovered that it is absolutely delicious in meat stews and soups! It has just a very slight hint of heat, perfect for almost any meat stew.

Delish!
Cubed up a ribeye steak, browned some onions in the wok, added sliced mushrooms, then simmered the steak cubes with a fair amount of this mix. Reading the ingredients I can see why I liked it so much:Ingredients: Cumin, Paprika, New Mexico Chili Pepper, Cayenne Peppers, De Arbal Chili Peppers, Nutmeg, Ancho Chili Peppers, Ajwan Seeds, Cardamon, Turmeric, Garlic, Salt, "and other spices."

Fantastic Blend
After reading about this spice blend in Eating Well magazine, I purchased a tin. I can't say enough about, not only the spice itself, but the company who makes it. The packaging was excellent, many recipes cards were included in the order along with additional sample blends. I ordered this product directly through teenytinyspice, so I don't know what the packing is like through Amazon, but even if the bonuses are not included with the Amazon order, the Berbere blend itself is well worth the money. Product Description
Our subtle seductive blend Ethiopian Berbere plays a key role in making an authentic doro wat (a chicken stew). With hints of paprika, cumin, allspice and cloves, you can also use Ethiopian Berbere as a coating on meats. Try rubbing it on chicken breasts and then coat chicken with flour to make flavorful fried chicken. Take pizza dough to a new level by adding 1 tablespoon to plain dough before baking. Sprinkle on couscous, steamed vegetables or freshly grilled vegetables. Stir into egg, potato or pasta salads. Comes in our signature airtight tin, which measures 2-1/2 inches in diameter and 1-3/4 inches in height. Top to learn more
