Nice little award ribbons
They are what they are. Nice little award ribbons with a pin on the back of each. The disks are made of plastic, so they probably wouldn't hold up well to a lot of pinning and unpinning, but for my purpose they were fine. I used them as part of decorations on awards given out to the top three "People's Choice" cakes baked at our first annual Cub Scout Dad & Lad Cake Bake. I spray painted 3 whisks of graduated sizes Gold, stuck one of these ribbons on each whisk, with the 1st place on the largest whisk or course. Then I used a glass 1 cup Pyrex measuring cup for each as a stand and thus we had official "Golden Whisk Awards" and our cubs were thrilled.

Great medals for any purpose
My son was having a Star Wars birthday party and he wanted to hand out awards to his friends after they finished the obstacle course. We couldn't find any that were Star Wars themed but then I saw these. These were perfect. We found a picture online for one side and then he wanted a saying on the other side. So we printed them out, cut them out in a circle and they fit in great! One side pops off so you can insert the "badge" inside. The kids were running around and in and out of a sprinkler with these on and they didn't pop apart or get wet inside. Highly recommend these for anyone who likes to be creative and create their own design.

Neat little prize for small contests
I bought these for a chili cook-off and dessert contest at our church. We could open the medal, write on the paper with a pen (thin felt-tip seemed best) and present them to the winners. The ribbon is thin and cheap, but this is not for framing and putting in the bookshelf. There are better awards if you want the winner to feel pride in the award. These did quite nicely for the purpose, to let adults know they won in a category. Consider them like party favors.

when I first got the ribbon, I turned into very impressed with the crisp black letters it produced when compared to the pale grey letters of my old ribbon, which became a ways beyond its effective life. I have an epson lq-510 that I got cheap (i. e. Free), and I vital a ribbon for it. I bought this ribbon about a year ago (in 2008). (draft mode still looks terrible, though)one factor to consider is that this is a film ribbon, no longer a fabric ribbon. I’m very satisfied that I purchased this black rosette award ribbon.
