Amazing comfort, warmth & suppot
I'd seen reviews for these extolling their virtues with a little skepticism; "the only knee support used by Mikhail Baryshnikov" and such. I expected a nice, comfortable leg-warmer but was happy to find these have great, soft support as well. They don't bind behind my knees (yup, I wear a pair - knees often go wrong in parallel) and keep the cold at bay helping to minimize the additional aches & pains from cold winter weather. They hand wash in the machine with cold water/wash and hang dry quickly, snapping back into shape unlike so many other cotton or synthetic supports. I use them in layers while clearing snow and singly at work during the week. Except for the relief provided I hardly notice them; the fit is contoured and just snug enough to stay in place. Make sure you order the correct size; in my experience a little smaller size provides more support. Don't waste your time & money on lesser supports - this is the only I will ever buy.

Great knee warmers
These were a Christmas gift for my husband. As a 44 year veteran electrician his knees are wearing out. These warmers give just a little support, keep his knees warm in our Michigan winter and do not curl at the top. He tried them out the first week after Christmas and has worn them consistantly since. We will be purchasing more soon.

So soft!
This item is so soft, It's hard to call it a brace, but it sure does the job of a brace. I am so glad I found it on Amazon.

” Well, based on my experience with the Garden State Sheep and Fiber Festival, I expected to also see alpaca and angora and mohair, things that don’t make me sneeze like most wool does. Bright and early on Saturday morning, Karen Katz, Jung Dettelback, Lila Dettleback and I piled into my vintage Honda Civic and drove 3 1/2 hours to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival. “It’s a wool festival,” I can hear you saying. As you know, I don’t use wool all that much, so this also made me grumpy. In fact, on our way to the barns, Karen and I had stopped at a tent that had big baskets of yarn marked half price out front, and I had seen two hanks of a beautiful cotton yarn, but even at half-price, they were $13 a piece. This was Jung’s third MSWF and the first for the rest of us. Lila, who is Jung’s first-grade daughter, was very excited and having her along was a real pleasure. Jung and Lila went to the family activities tent while Karen and I went off to explore. But after two barns of nothing I would even consider buying, I doubled back, found the tent, and saw a lady holding one of those precious hanks. Lila was in a spinning class, and Jung had been exploring the vendor tents at the top of the hill, so she knew exactly where Nora Bellows was. And I’m not saying I didn’t see mohair, but the alpaca and angora offerings seemed to be hiding. Jung, Karen and I had been talking about square needles on our drive down, and Tina Sanders, a knitting blogger in Arizona, had written about how using them had relaxed her hands.

One type of yarn that has become quite popular is angora rabbit angora rabbit wool. This also goes for angora sweaters, mittens, scarves and caps, all of which are made from 100% angora wool. Just like sheep’s wool, the angora wool is removed from the rabbit by one of two processes. If you know anything about angora wool then you won’t confuse it with mohair which comes from Angora goats. This characteristic gives angora wool insulating properties that make it seven times warmer than sheep’s wool. Angora wool, however, maintains a micron count of 12-16 microns. Angora yarn has a low micron count which is the measurement used to express the diameter of a wool fiber. In fact, another reason angora wool is so sought after is because it is also one of the warmest types of yarn. The angora rabbits that produce this soft wool are well taken care of and are periodically combed to harvest their hair. In fact, it may be easier to get hold of angora knitwear that also contains some percentage of other wools, even acrylic fibers.
