A great product for little price!
Ok....all the negative reviews, I am unsure as to where your review is coming from as I have proven these work on multiple units with multiple different Defender Turbo's.I run a Playstation 3 Repair cervice and honestly recommened these to every customer I have. While I am unallowed to present actual numbers, I can safely say that this fan DOES remove a large majority of the heat build-up inside the playstation 3 console.This unit works exactly as it is described and indeed does suck out large amount of heats causing a noticeable difference in temperature.If you want to add life to the span of your PS3, buy one of these!

Get this if you have an older (FAT) unit. NOT for slim.
I have had this device for a week now, and it works fine. Yes, it's noisy, but all fans are noisy, and when you're playing games, who notices? My PS3 recently Yellowed Light-of-Death'd on me, and I had it repaired. I bought this mainly because my PS3 over-heated, and the GPU became loose from the motherboard due to heat (At least that's what the repair tech said). Got the other cooling fan unit that fits in the front, but I think this one works better. So now I'm back to my long gaming sessions w/ Killzone 3...

Very good Fan for 60 & 40 GB PS3 for $$$
I have had 1 of these for about 3 or 4 years and it has lasted even though I just found it clogged with dust, which proves that it works to keep air moving through the PS3.-As the Story goes; I have switched this Fan back and forth between my 2 PS3's and recently left it on my 60GB model which was moved to my main TV, under my Sony LCD with an open air stand. This left my 40GB model in a TV console with a cubby for a VCR or gaming System. Unfortunately, No Heat can dissipate from that small space without a Fan. Ultimately the 40 GB gave up the ghost (we thought), until my Son came across a guy on YouTube.com showing step by step, how to repair a dead PS3 with nothing more then a 500 Deg F Heat Gun & some Thermal compound. Well, we followed the Directions tonight & wouldn't you know that it actually works like a charm (I thought it was a scam Video). While fixing it in under 2 hours, we found heavy amounts of dust inside the PS3 and all over the circuitry, Fan & other...

Why is it so loud?
The only bad thing I will say about this product is that it's loud.You plug it in and a cool blue light pops up. This light btw blocks your indicator light that lights up when your ps3 is saving. Not a big deal.It came on time. CheckCondition new? CheckWorks? CheckWorth the buy? For ten bucks? Heck yea.

Not Much of a 'Fan'. LOL
It uses up one of the only 2 USB ports on your PS3. That's a waste. Even if it's plugged it it doesn't even seem like it's doing much cooling. Looks like its something that just wants to drain the power out of the dang thing.Only plus about this, it has a cool blue light. That's about it.

Short Use
I repair Playstation 3 consoles often. I received these tools in the mail and sure enough they did what they were supposed to do. However, after only a few rebuilds the blue phillips screwdriver seems to be wearing down not allowing a firm fit/grip on the screw. If you're only going to use these 1-3 times I would say buy it. If you're going to use these for extended amounts of time, buy crafstman or any other name brand tool.

could be better
I bought these because i needed to take apart my 80gb fatboy. When i noticed the security torx screw, i knew i needed to get some tools. I did some searching on here, and found this set and ordered. I must say, i am pretty disappointed. I apparently bought the entire set just to remove 1 screw holding the cover on. That's okay i thought, i can still used the Phillips heads.... no, no you can't. I don't know if it was just my set or what, but all of the other screw drivers, other than the one i intentionally bought it for, were completely useless. I purchased the entire set of screw drivers to just be able to use one, and still had to use my own tools. I honestly felt a little ripped off, but hey, you get what you paid for right...

Easy to move PS3 Slim
I move my PS3 between 2 rooms and now it couldn't be easier. I leave a power cord and HDMI cable setup in each room and just disconnect and reconnect the PS3, nothing else to move.

So far so good!
My ps3 has suffered 2 YLOD, after the second time I decided to look into things that might prevent it from happening again. One of the main causes of this, is overheating. With that said I came across this 19 blade fan that is supposed to be more powerful and according to others, super quiet. Ive had this fan installed for two weeks now and so far its working great, you can feel more air being released from the system and it is extremely quiet! It does make a little humming noise after a while when it kicks into high gear, but its nothing compared to the stock fan.

Original is the best!!!!!!!!!!!GREAT 19 blade Fan,
I always afraid my PS3 will get YLoD soon, so i keep search online regarding how to prevent the overheat. i found Japanese version PS3 use 19 blades internal fan which is more faster rotating speed and absorb more heat from in to out. I bought this fan from amazon, and received it two day after. only thing i can say about this fan is best fan and compare with my 15 blades fan, this fan is more quiet. the system had been use year and half from the day i installed the fan, and it is still working like a charm. REMEMBER you have to maintain you ps3 every 6 month, like clean up the dust etc. so the system will alive longer!!!

Great Product
I have had this product for a bout two months now and I will say it definitely does it's job. I had had many problems with my PS3 overheating before. After installing this I can feel it expelling much more hot air and the actual system will still feel cool after multi-hour sessions.The only reason I didn't give this a five star review is that it is louder than the earlier fan at the regular fan speed. Luckily it is much more efficient and so far hasn't even needed to go to the higher speed that many are annoyed by.

Easy to apply...looks amazing!
I don't write reviews often but I noticed that only one other person has done so for this item & since I am very happy with my purchase, I thought I would throw in my 2 cents.At first, I was a little bit leary about ordering something like this for my PS3 & controllers. It's been my experience in the past with sticker/decal decorations that they never seem to line up right & are a pain in the butt to put on. Not to mention, once you stick them on & off a few times trying to get it right, they usually lose the ability to stick, leave messy residue on your item & sometimes even become damaged to where there are parts that look funny or stick up in a corner or two. Also, many times I have gotten decals/stickers that weren't cut precise & don't line up very good at all. If this is similar to your past experiences, let me make this clear.THIS PRODUCT TRUMPS ALL OTHERS IN THESE AREAS!The material is durable & can be pulled off & stuck back on MANY times...
